THE missing head of a boyfriend who was allegedly murdered and dismembered by his Beauty and the Geek star girlfriend has been found.
The loose dome belonged to Julian Story, 39, who was allegedly killed by partner Tamika Chesser, 34, in South Australia.
A dog and its owner, while walking through scrubland near Port Lincoln, around 250km (155 miles) west of Adelaide, stumbled upon a gruesome find after the pet ran off and did not return.
On Thursday, SA Police Major Crime leader Darren Fielke explained: “Earlier today, the police were informed by a local in Port Lincoln. They discovered what appeared to be a human skull in a scrubland area.
“The area has several walking tracks. My understanding is that the individual who informed us today was walking their dog. The dog ventured into the scrub and didn’t return when called.”
“They had to walk into the scrub area to find it [the head]. [The remains] were not buried. They were quite out in the open.”
The remains are now set to be tested and forensically confirmed as those of Julian’s.
Fielke stated, “Julian’s family has been notified today and briefed on what was found and the subsequent steps in the process.”
“Hopefully we can give them some comfort that we have found all the remains of Julian.”
Officers made the grim discovery last month after responding to reports of a small fire.
Chesser was arrested two days later under the Mental Health Act and charged with murder.
Cops are yet to interview her with the reality TV star being kept in a mental health facility.
She appeared in Port Lincoln Magistrates Court via video link on Thursday for three separate matters.
Last month, police circulated CCTV footage and stills of a woman alleged to be Chesser strolling through Port Lincoln hours after the alleged murder.
The woman was seen with three dogs — dressed head-to-toe in black with a head covering, cops said.
Court records indicate that officers discovered Chesser in a “catatonic and unresponsive state” in the property’s back garden before her arrest.
She’s also been charged with disposing of human remains to pervert the course of justice and assaulting a police officer, The Telegraph reports.
Police have stated there is no clear motive, with Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott acknowledging there are still “many unanswered questions” in what he termed a complicated crime scene.
Chesser’s sister, Kiya-May, claimed her family is shattered by reports she’d been charged with murder.
They told Daily Mail Australia: “Please report how my sister is in a mental psychosis… This is not her… She would never do these things.”
She added her sister had suffered “a life of trauma and abuse, and now this – it has fried her brain”.
Meanwhile, Mr Story’s grieving family has thanked police, emergency workers and the community for their support during what they called an “unimaginable loss”.
Chesser appeared on Season 2 of the hit show in 2010 aged just 19.
