Emergency crews are on the scene in Wilson County, Tennessee, following the crash of a LifeFlight helicopter on Saturday afternoon near the Cumberland River.
According to a social media update from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, the crash is being handled in collaboration with various other agencies, with the incident reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time.
Details concerning possible injuries or fatalities remain unknown at this time.

Authorities have yet to disclose how many individuals were aboard during the incident.
The crash site has been identified as the 7100 block of Cairo Bend Road, as per information from the sheriff’s office.
It’s not yet known what led to the crash.
“We are asking motorists to please avoid the area and seek an alternate route to allow emergency personnel to safely and effectively manage the scene,” officials wrote in a statement.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Wilson County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to inquiries from Fox News Digital.
