A Chicago man faces charges after allegedly defacing vehicles owned by firefighters stationed on the city’s South Side, according to police reports.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Jacob Bogdan, a 26-year-old Chicago resident. Bogdan is facing two felony charges for damaging government property, along with 19 charges related to criminal damage to private property.
Law enforcement apprehended Bogdan on Saturday in the vicinity of the 200 block of W. Cermak Road, located in Chinatown.
The accusations against Bogdan include vandalism at several locations on specific dates:
– On February 5, damage was reported in the 200 block of W. Cermak Road.
– On March 16, a separate incident occurred in the 100 block of E. Pershing Road.

A Chicago Firefighters Union rep told ABC7 that a man wielding an ax damaged seven personal vehicles in the Englewood neighborhood on Friday.
Twelve other member vehicles were also damaged on Monday at another fire station near East Pershing Road and South Wabash Avenue in the city’s Bronzeville neighborhood.
