English soccer player throws chair at woman on vacation in stunning incident

Third division soccer player Kian Harratt attempted to shift the blame to a group of tourists — or, more precisely, to a chair — following an incident that had been caught on camera earlier this month.

Harratt, a member of Oldham Athletic in England’s EFL League Two, was reportedly filmed on June 21 in Ibiza, Spain, throwing a chair that ended up hitting a woman at a pool.

The player expressed that he was “very apologetic” and felt “terrible” about the incident where a chair slipped from his hands and hit the woman, according to The Sun, yet he held others accountable for the commotion.

He explained, according to the outlet, that a man had approached one of his friends and punched the friend, prompting Harratt to step in.

He claimed that he threw the chair because one was thrown at him, and he picked it back up and flung it at him, not meaning to hit the woman.

“He was the worst man you could ever come across and a bully! He was 6-foot-6 and built like a brick!” Harratt said.

Video of the incident showed the chair striking the woman, knocking her down, and seeming to send a second person falling into the pool.

But bystanders and those involved told a very different story about what had happened, with one witness, Kyle Crawford, telling the outlet that it was the footballer and his friends who were “being horrible” to a group of women.

Crawford added that the player and his pals were “just in the pool splashing them and throwing balls at them — being proper immature.”

The bystander said that he and his group of friends eventually stepped in to defender the women and it was Harratt and his friend who attacked them and one of their friends was hit first.
