Influencer Eugenia Cooney spotted as Disney World amid growing health concerns

Concerns about Eugenia Cooney were temporarily suspended Thursday when the notoriously skinny influencer was spotted at Disney World following an unusually long social media absence.

TMZ recently released images capturing Cooney appearing downcast during a visit to an amusement park with her brother and mother on Tuesday. Observers noted that the family seemed to avoid interacting with each other throughout the outing.

Cooney acknowledged having an eating disorder in 2019. The photos she routinely posted online prior to her disappearance from the internet attract comments from fans worried about her health, as well as supporters who enjoy her quirky fashion sense.

The 31-year-old from Connecticut last posted about her life on June 27 when her dog died. Her 2.8 million followers on TikTok joined her 752,000 Instagram watchers in expressing concern in the months since.

“If Halloween comes and goes with no post then something is definitely wrong,” wrote one observer.

Cooney fans wondered why so many of her most recent posts ended with her cryptically saying goodbye in one way or another.

In June, concern grew among her followers, with one Instagram user commenting, “I think she really died this time.”

That was around the time Cooney posted photos from the Magic Kingdom showing her dressed like a gothic Minnie Mouse and striking cheerful poses. Speculation soon arose that someone else was running her account.

The Greenwich Police Department has confirmed to TMZ that they have conducted welfare checks on Cooney following alerts from worried fans. However, they emphasized that they cannot compel her to seek professional help.

Disney World, despite its reputation as “the Happiest Place on Earth,” has been overshadowed by tragedy recently. In the past month, the Florida park has witnessed the deaths of three visitors, with authorities indicating that at least two of these were suicides.
