Bryan Kohberger sitting down in court. He

From the moment he entered the courtroom for his long-awaited sentencing for the quadruple murders of four University of Idaho students, Bryan Kohberger exuded what experts described as a cold, detached presence.

Body language expert Susan Constantine noted his rigid posture, gaunt appearance, furrowed brows, and intense stare, suggesting an attempt to dominate the courtroom with “covert hostility” cloaked as indifference.

Occasionally, his facade showed minor cracks as he was sentenced for the murders of Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, and Madison Mogen, while he listened to the heartfelt victim impact statements.

Kim Kernodle – Aunt of Xana Kernodle

Baden noted a shift in posture as Xana Kernodle’s aunt offered an olive branch in forgiving Kohberger and offering to talk.

“For the first time, Kohberger slumped slightly, exposing his stomach chains, perhaps revealing fatigue discomfort, or unacknowledged remorse,” Baden noted.
