New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Untamed, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds + More
Billy Joel has been an iconic figure in the music industry for five decades. In the new HBO Max documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes, he reveals personal insights and rarely-seen performances, providing a glimpse into his world. Over on Netflix, Eric Bana portrays a special agent in the new limited series Untamed, tasked with investigating a murder in the sprawling wilderness of Yosemite. Meanwhile, on Paramount+, a fresh season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds begins this Friday, featuring two new episodes.
New on Netflix July 17: Untamed
When a woman’s body is discovered in Yosemite National Park, special agent Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) is dispatched to solve the case. However, the wilderness stirs up numerous old memories for Turner, and as he pursues answers regarding this death, he becomes haunted by a different case he couldn’t resolve. The six-episode series premiered on Netflix this past Thursday.
If you’re a Billy Joel fan who already thinks they know plenty about Hicksville, Long Island’s favorite son, you’re going to want to tune in to Billy Joel: And So It Goes. The new HBO Max documentary, which features new interviews and rarely-seen performances, will air in two parts; the first comes out on Friday, the second will arrive on July 25. The new doc features Joel reflecting on his enduring career, his humble beginnings, and the songs that have wormed their way into our DNA.
Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise are back for season three of the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which arrived on Thursday. Returning cast this season include Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Paul Wesley and Carol Kane.
