Fans think Gisele Bündchen shaded Tom Brady in divorce statement

Fans are convinced Gisele Bündchen shaded Tom Brady following the couple’s divorce on Friday.

Eagle-eyed social media users noticed the supermodel’s specific word choice she used in her statement, appearing to make it clear that she has always put her family first — unlike Brady, who reportedly chose football over saving their marriage.

“My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart,” Bündchen, 42, wrote. “We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve.”

Her statement differed from the NFL quarterback’s, who wrote, “We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”

Bündchen and Brady both announced the news on their Instagram Stories.

“It’s just a fact. My parents are famous. I did…

Brady, 45, added, “We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure that they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

Twitter users were quick to notice the difference in tone between Bündchen and Brady’s announcements.

“Gisele Bündchen’s emphasis on ‘my priority has always been & will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart’ is the real gag!,” one person tweeted alongside a gif of a chef’s kiss.

While another added, “I didn’t miss that ‘my priority’ not ‘our priority’. I get it, Gisele,” with a screenshot of Bündchen’s statement.

“Lmfao 2 completely different narratives about the divorce…Good for Gisele, I love how she said my priority became we know Brady don’t give af about her or them kids,” chimed in a third user.

Others called bluff on the pair’s claim their split was “amicable.”

“The nuance of Gisele and her ex husband divorce announcement like him saying ‘my wife and I’ Gisele only calling him by his name, him putting all in ‘We’ Gisele saying ‘my priority is always my kids’ I don’t think this was that amicable,” an observant fan added.

The pair — who share Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, as well as son Jack, 15, from Brady’s relationship with Bridget Moynahan — sparked divorce rumors last month after getting into an “epic fight” over Brady’s choice to “un-retire” from the NFL.

“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids,” a source told Page Six in September.

“They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”

Brady’s decision apparently didn’t sit well with the former Victoria’s Secret Angel who asked him “over and over” to be “more present” with their family.

After over a month of speculations, Page Six exclusively broke the news on Oct. 4 that both parties — who wed in 2009 — had hired divorce lawyers.

Sources told us that the divorce proceedings got “nasty” between the former couple, who were “ready for a fight” when it came to their multimillion-dollar empire.

“Tom and Gisele are not battling over the kids, they both want joint custody. But it will take some time to divide their immense wealth and property all over the world,” an insider told us.

Although it’s unclear exactly who got what now that the divorce has been finalized, both parties wished each other well in their statements Friday.
