BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities have reported a fatal shooting incident near Bradford High School in Starke on Friday. The victim, as identified by the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, is Christopher Travis Jones, aged 37.

Multiple people called 911, including someone inside Auntie Lili’s Child Care Center nearby.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Jones with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The alleged shooter, 34-year-old Mindy Michelle Osteen, was apprehended at the scene. She has been jailed without bond, awaiting her initial court appearance on Saturday morning.

Authorities confirmed the two shared children, though it is unclear if they were currently in a relationship.

Osteen has a lengthy criminal record and has previously served time in jail.
