'Intentional' explosion on Harvard medical school campus probed by FBI, 2 people seen fleeing building: police

The FBI has launched an investigation following an “intentional” detonation at Harvard University’s Longwood medical campus on Saturday morning.

According to a statement from Harvard representatives to Fox News Digital, a Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer was called to the scene shortly after 2:45 a.m. at the Goldenson building, located at 220 Longwood Avenue in Boston, in response to a triggered fire alarm.

Upon reaching the location, the officer observed two individuals hastily exiting the building, as reported by officials.

The officer attempted to detain the duo before heading to the fourth floor, where the alarm was activated, discovering that an explosion had taken place.

The Arson Unit from the Boston Fire Department assessed the scene and initially concluded that the blast was intentional.

Subsequently, the Boston Police Department conducted a thorough search of the premises for any suspicious devices but found none.
