Passenger assaulting a flight attendant on an airplane.

A RAGING plane passenger beat up two air hostesses mid-flight and left one of them in tears – after being told she couldn’t use her phone.

Dramatic footage captured a 39-year-old woman repeatedly punching flight attendants in the face, delivering at least five blows, until fellow passengers intervened to subdue her.

The savage attack unfolded onboard a Pobeda Airlines flight from Novosibirsk to Moscow in Russia on August 23.

In shocking footage, the red-haired passenger is seen talking with the air hostesses before beginning her savage attack.

She then launches into a full-scale assault, throwing a barrage of hits towards them.

Other passengers immediately step in to restrain the woman and she is eventually pulled away from the cabin crew.

The manic passenger is then filmed laughing as she is escorted away in front of terrified travellers.

The enraged woman began behaving aggressively just seven minutes into the flight, local media reported.

In an attempt to defuse the situation, she was given a document explaining the in-flight rules, which she crumpled and threw at the flight attendant’s face.

The ordeal escalated after she was denied use of her phone.

Witnesses told Russian media she struck two air hostesses several times to the head.

Ultimately, she was restrained until the plane landed at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow, where a rapid response team greeted her and escorted her off the plane.

A Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson confirmed the attack, saying protocol had been drawn up against her for petty hooliganism.

In Russian law, petty hooliganism can be defined as a public disturbance that is considered highly disrespectful to society.

The punishment for the offence is usually a fine or brief imprisonment.

The investigation by police is ongoing.

It comes after another dramatic ordeal unfolded onboard a Russian flight.

Wild footage in June showed a furious woman’s mid-air meltdown when she demanded a business class upgrade – before she was tied down.

The incident occurred on a flight from Russia to Egypt, as the passenger in economy class demanded an upgrade, citing alleged discomfort due to a “pain in my butt and t**s.”

Shocking footage from the Aeroflot flight SU734 showed the passenger standing in the aisle and yelling at cabin crew in broken English.

Strong male passengers assisted the crew in restraining the woman after she allegedly threatened to open the emergency exit and began removing her top in a fit of desperation, as reported by Telegram channel Aviatorshchina.
