March is a month known for its unpredictability, from the weather to your odds of filling out a perfect March Madness bracket.
The Final Four is set to take place this upcoming weekend in San Antonio with plenty of activities to enjoy. You’ll want to be aware of the weather because a cool front will dribble in late Friday, bringing a game-changing chance of storms Friday afternoon through Saturday. Here’s what you need to know:
KEY POINTS
STORMS: Possible Friday afternoon through Saturday morning
TEMPS: Warm Friday, cooling Saturday. Sunday and Monday will feature chilly evenings and cool afternoons.
IMPACT ON GAMES AND FAN FEST
Of course, the games and Fan Fest are held indoors, where rain is not a factor. However, the walk from the parking lot to the Alamodome or the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center may be most impacted by storms on Friday and Friday night. That’s when a cool front will move through San Antonio. We’ll be monitoring for severe weather potential.
IMPACT TO MARCH MADNESS MUSIC FESTIVAL
If you’re planning on attending the free March Madness Music Festival at Hemisfair, know that the concert will most likely be impacted by storms Friday night. That’s when big names like Doechii and Pitbull will perform.
Otherwise, there shouldn’t be any weather issues for Saturday night’s and Sunday night’s concerts. You may just want to bring a light jacket as temps will be in the 50s and 60s.
