Two people were on the boat when the fire broke out Sunday morning, but were not injured, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A boat caught fire at Trout Creek Memorial Park and Marina in St. Augustine on Sunday morning, according to a Facebook post by the St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 10 a.m., as reported by SJCFR, and discovered the boat engulfed in flames. They managed to extinguish the blaze swiftly, SJCFR stated.
Two people were on the boat when the fire broke out, but they were not injured, the fire department said.
“Firefighters are still on site conducting an overhaul and checking for any remaining hazards,” the SJCFR post mentions. “The cause of the fire is still under investigation.”
