A Florida mother was taken into custody after allegedly leaving her two children in a hot vehicle while shopping on one of the warmest days in 2025, as reported by officials.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office mentioned on Facebook that Marianne Isnar is accused of leaving her two kids alone while shopping at a Dollar Tree in Lehigh Acres, Florida, on Sunday.
Deputies stated that the car, which was not running while Isnar’s children were inside, reached an internal temperature of 100 degrees. The outside temperature was 98 degrees, causing the car to reach 100 degrees within 10 minutes since all windows were rolled up, according to officials.

“This woman decided to leave her children in a car during one of the year’s hottest days in Southwest Florida,” Marceno said. “Let this serve as a clear warning, we will not hesitate to hold individuals accountable for endangering a child’s life. We are relieved these children are safe.”
