A woman claiming to be a former classmate of the Minneapolis church shooter expressed that she noticed something was amiss with him.
Josefina Sanchez shared her concerns with KSTP following an incident where a 23-year-old, born as Robert Westman but later known as Robin Westman, opened fire at a Mass held at Annunciation Catholic Church, attended by students from the associated school. This tragic event resulted in the deaths of children and injuries to 17 others, 14 of them also being children.
“I sensed something was wrong, but as a child, I didn’t know what to do,” Sanchez mentioned to KSTP, who reported she was a seventh-grade classmate of Westman.
“When you see something erratic, it doesn’t leave your mind so… [Westman] would put up his hand and say like ‘praise Hitler,’” Sanchez added.

“I believe it’s a spiritual struggle,” Sanchez shared with KSTP regarding the video. “I don’t think it’s of this world, it’s demonic, I’m sorry, but it is. I feel we need Jesus, and [Westman] needed Him.”
“I wish I could have said something sooner, but I was little, how do I know?” she also said.
Police said Wednesday that Westman had no prior criminal record and all the weapons used in the mass shooting were “lawfully purchased.”
