Kristin Crowley, the former Los Angeles Fire Chief, has filed a claim against the city, alleging that Mayor Karen Bass has orchestrated a “smear campaign” targeting her.

She is seeking damages of greater than $25,000.

“The lies, deceit, exaggerations, and misrepresentations must be countered with the truth. As Firefighters, we confront uncertainty and are ready to risk everything. Doing the right thing, even when it’s challenging, is always the best choice, and that’s why I’m committed to securing the resources our Firefighters need to ensure everyone’s safety,” she remarked.
