The former landlord of D4vd in Hollywood Hills has engaged a private investigator to look into the case of a 15-year-old girl’s death, whose dismembered body was discovered in the rapper’s impounded Tesla last month, as per a report.
Mladen Trifunovic, the property owner, decided to hire a private investigator after police raided the mansion rented by D4vd for $20,000 a month. The raid was part of the investigation into the death of runaway teen Celeste Rivas Hernandez, according to TMZ.
The Tesla, registered in the name of the “Romantic Homicide” artist, was abandoned near the mansion before it was later moved to an impound lot. There, the decomposing body of the missing teenager was discovered concealed in the trunk.
A suspect in the Rivas’ death has still not been named six weeks after she was found badly decomposed on Sept 8.
“The investigation by our private investigator is ongoing, and I don’t have any findings to report at this moment. It’s still in the early stages, and I want to respect both the LAPD’s investigation and the memory of the victim,” Trifunovic informed the outlet.
Movers were spotted hauling the alt rapper’s belongings out of the crash pad shortly after cops raided it on Sept. 17, the Daily Mail reported.
He suddenly opted out of his lease for the sprawling $4 million mansion in the wake of the police investigation, according to reports.
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has been the subject of much online speculation since the teen’s body was found in his car.
Rivas’ mother previously revealed to TMZ that her daughter, who went missing in 2024 when she was only 13, had been dating someone named David.
Internet sleuths have also uncovered footage from a past livestream that showed the rapper speaking of grooming a girl who is identified as Celeste.
Users have also discovered an eerie, unreleased song from the rapper entitled “Celeste.”
The 20-year-old Queens-born and LA-based musician has since canceled his upcoming tour for the rollout of his album “Withered.”
He also recently transferred the deed of his two Texas homes to his mother after one of the properties was the victim of a swatting incident.
Rivas was laid to rest in a private afternoon service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary in Rowland Heights, which is around 50 miles from her family’s residence in Lake Elsinore.
No charges have been filed in the case so far.
