Frank Turek, mentor and close friend to Charlie Kirk, has forcefully refuted internet conspiracy theories suggesting he signaled the shooter during Kirk’s recent assassination at Utah Valley University.
Amid viral speculation stemming from a video where Turek adjusts his hat, he has dismissed these allegations as “colossally stupid,” stating that his only intention was to support and honor Kirk during the difficult time.
The circulating video on social media shows Frank Turek adjusting his hat, which quickly fueled conspiracy theories online, suggesting Turek was using hand signals in connection with Charlie Kirk’s assassination:
Transcripts:
Andrew Kolvet:
“You were present on the day it occurred. I know this has been extremely difficult for you both, dealing with all this nonsense, but, bless you, and I am sorry this has been part of your experience.”
Frank Turek:
“Yeah, thanks, brother. I mean, that’s…
Honestly, that hasn’t really troubled me all that much. I find it utterly ridiculous to think anyone planning a shooting would need someone standing 25 feet away to indicate, ‘Hey, get him! He’s the target!’ It makes no sense whatsoever. It was a dreadful day, but we did everything we could to assist and save Charlie, and when that became impossible, we followed Erica’s lead, as well as Andrew and Mikey’s, since you all were there, to carry forward and elevate his legacy, and hopefully, that’s what we will achieve.”
Andrew Kolvet:
“Frank, you’ll play an essential role in that, and I often tell Erica that Charlie left us with all the necessary resources. He connected us to the right people, the genuine allies, not the deceitful or exploitative ones, and you are a true friend with great integrity and heart, and you’ve always been supportive of Charlie and us. So, you know…”
Frank Turek:
“Thank you, brother”
