A fundraising campaign in support of a former Mississippi State University student, who is facing charges after reportedly directing an antisemitic slur at Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, has accumulated over $36,000.
The student, Patrick McClintock, aged 20, was charged with disturbing the peace following an incident captured on video. The footage allegedly shows him shouting “F— the Jews” outside a pizza restaurant in Starkville, which Portnoy was reviewing on November 7.
The Starkville Police Department initiated an investigation after the video, which went viral, depicted someone making antisemitic remarks and tossing coins in Portnoy’s direction outside the eatery. The police identified McClintock as the individual involved and charged him with misdemeanor disturbing the peace. He was processed and subsequently released on the same day.
In response to the incident, the Starkville Police Department emphasized the community’s right to safety and respect. “Every person has the right to feel safe and respected in our community,” the department declared in a statement. “While offensive words alone are protected, actions that disrupt a public event or pose a threat of violence necessitate intervention to uphold safety and security.”

A fundraiser on GiveSendGo titled “DEFEND PATRICK MCCLINTOCK” has raised $36,245 as of Thursday afternoon.
“Patrick McClintock, a 20-year-old American patriot, got cuffed and jailed in Mississippi on November 10, 2025, for the ‘crime’ of mean words,” the fundraiser states.

“Why don’t you come in the camera, buddy?” Portnoy responded. “Get the f— out of Starkville,” McClintock said back before Portnoy’s security and other people in the area stepped in.
McClintock withdrew from Mississippi State University on Monday afternoon, a spokesman for the institution confirmed to Fox News Digital.
