ORLANDO, Fla. – According to a recent release, Florida’s average gasoline price has reached its lowest point in two months, decreasing by 19 cents per gallon over the past 10 days.

The American Automobile Association (AAA) revealed on Monday that the state’s average gas price has fallen to $2.94 per gallon, marking a decline of 14 cents from last week and a 2-cent decrease from the previous month.

The state’s average price of gas per gallon is 58 cents lower than this time last year, AAA said.

AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins noted, “While Florida motorists are experiencing some relief due to the decline at the pump, this respite may be temporary.” He further explained that gas prices in the state typically drop for approximately 10 days before rising sharply, sometimes by up to 20 cents. With the resurgence of oil and gasoline futures, there’s a strong likelihood that retail prices will see an increase in the coming days.

Most expensive metro markets according to AAA:

    • West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.10)

    • Gainesville ($3.06)

    • Sebring ($3.02)

Least expensive metro markets according to AAA:

    • Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.83)

    • Melbourne-Titusville ($2.84)

    • Panama City ($2.85)
