Hakeem Jeffries Reemerges, Doubles Down on Democrats' Big Lie About OBBB and the American Dream

The Democrats tell dishonest statements so often, it’s hard sometimes to rank them.

There is a widespread misconception about President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), claiming it drastically reduces Medicaid funding, leading to numerous deaths. To counter this narrative from the Left, I’m now referring to it as their “big lie.” However, their fabrications extend beyond Republican policies, touching on broader issues.

Democrat House Leader Hakeem Jeffries vociferously criticized this alleged menace during his extensive “magic minute” speech before the budget reconciliation bill vote in the House. Leading up to that, on Tuesday, prominent Democrats, including Jeffries, insisted the bill would result in the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans.

As noted by my colleague Nick Arama, the New York Democrat has recently faced competition from a fellow Democrat in New Jersey, Senator Cory “Spartacus” Booker, known for his dramatic flair.
