Bloodied man screams for help after alleged stabbing in Logan

A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 27-year-old during a fight at a home in south-east Queensland.

Security cameras captured the dramatic scene of an injured man staggering down Bark Street in Park Ridge, Logan, desperately calling out for assistance following an alleged altercation.

In his dire state, the man sought refuge and eventually approached a house with its lights still on.

“When I answered the door, he had been stabbed on his right side… he was in a terrible condition,” a resident, who wished to remain anonymous, shared with 9News.

“There was blood everywhere,” she recounted.

The woman admitted feeling apprehensive about opening her door to the wounded stranger.

“I was scared, because I have kids,” she explained.

The man eventually left in a state of panic before police and paramedics found him on a footpath nearby about 10pm.

The 27-year-old from Regents Park suffered an alleged stab wound to the chest.

He was fighting for life at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Police arrested the 35-year-old Park Ridge man at the home of the alleged fight and said they found a knife that had allegedly been used.

The man was charged with attempted murder.

Police said the pair knew each other.

The Park Ridge man was kept in custody to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court.
