Harry Potter star Hugh Mitchell looked unrecognisable 22-years after his one and only appearance as shutterbug Colin Creevey in 2002’s Chamber Of Secrets.

The 35-year-old has since quit acting and followed in his character’s footsteps by launching his own photography business.

Despite Colin appearing throughout the novels, including a poignant death scene, he only showed up in one movie, before being replaced by fellow Gryffindor Nigel Wolpert (William Melling).

While movie bosses have never confirmed the reason, according Screen Rant he was likely axed due actor Hugh’s sudden growth spurt, making him unsuitable to go on playing Harry’s young fan.

Gone now is his baby face and now sports stubble as he takes to social media to keep fans up to date with his photography, specialising in both wildlife and portraits.

His website reads:  ‘I’m Hugh. I started out in life as an actor, but I’ve always had a bit of an obsession with photography. Having experience in front of the lens has been a huge help in now being behind it’.

Before adding: ‘I divide my time between portraiture, events, weddings, and my first love, landscape photography’.

Following Harry Potter, Hugh continued acting for a brief while and appeared in The Da Vinci Code as well as episodes of Whitechapel and Holby City.

It comes after Hugh’s co-star Jessie Cave left Harry Potter stunned after announcing she was launching her own OnlyFans account – with ‘daily owl drops’ of new snaps.

But the actress, 37, who played Ron Weasley’s love interest Lavender Brown in the smash hit film series, explained she would be appealing to a ‘very niche’ market on the adults only subscription site.

While others profiles mostly feature sexually explicit content, Jessie revealed she’d be keeping her clothes on making the most of her long blonde locks as she marketed herself to those with a hair fetish.

The mother-of-fours’ OnlyFans profile reads: ‘Former Harry Potter actress, writer, doodler and now Only Fans Long Hair Specialist. I do NICHE HAIR CONTENT which you may well quite like. How magical!’.

‘Will respond to Dm’s. Let’s get to know each other!’ she added. ‘If you have a hair thing, this is the place for you. If you want something specific, you can message me and I will be happy to see what we can do. LOVE JESSIE XXX’.

She later took to Instagram to announce the news and in a fun clip explained her plans to partner Alfie Brown, who as an alternative suggested: ‘I think you should get your bum out’.

Fans rushed to the comments following the announcement with comedian Katherine Ryan saying: ‘This is a very very good idea’.

While others added: ‘I am sure there is an audience for that’: ‘Hair queen’: ‘I think this is a great idea’: ‘You’ll make a fortune’: ‘Love This’.

It comes after it was announced Oscar and Emmy-nominated actress Janet McTeer was reportedly ‘in talks’ to take over from the late Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall in HBO’s new Harry Potter series.

Janet, 63, is best-known for her role as Mary Jo Walker in 2000 comedy Tumbleweed, while she also starred as attorney Helen Piece in hit TV show Ozark.

With negotiations in the works to for the series adaptation, Paapa Essiedu is also reportedly ‘closing his deal’ to play Alan Rickman’s Severus Snape.

Paapa, 34, is known for his roles in projects such as The Lazarus Project and also Gangs Of London and has long been rumoured to play Snape in the upcoming series.

HBO recently said in a statement: ‘We appreciate that such a high-profile series will draw a lot of rumour and speculation.

John Lithgow is so far the only cast member who has officially been confirmed as he announced he will be taking on the role of Albus Dumbledore in the HBO series.

The 79-year-old star has said stepping in to the shoes of the magical headmaster, first played by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon, ‘came as a total surprise to me’.

‘I just got the phone call up at the Sundance Film Festival, and it was not an easy decision because it’s going to define me for the last chapter of my life. I’m afraid,’ he said.

‘But I’m very excited. Some wonderful people are turning their attention back to Harry Potter.

‘That’s why it’s been such a hard decision. I’ll be about 87 years old at the wrap party, but I’ve said yes.’

Dumbledore, the fictional headmaster of Hogwarts and a mentor to the title character, has become one of the most-beloved characters among fans of Rowling’s original books and the film series.
