Recently surfaced footage reveals the tragic scene where a teenager from Queens was fatally shot at close range in a park, prompting a frantic escape by nearby youths.
The distressing video, captured mere feet from the suspected gang-related incident, shows 15-year-old Jaden Pierre standing against a metal fence at Roy Wilkins Park in St. Albans, moments before being fatally shot in the chest by his assailants.
Earlier, Jaden had been assaulted by a group of youths gathered at Nautilus Playground on Thursday evening. The attackers delivered blows to his head just before the gunfire erupted, as depicted in the video.
The footage captures a member of the crowd striking Jaden in the head, as the group closed in and a gunshot echoed, causing panic among the onlookers.
Jaden is seen collapsing to the ground while the group, many of them seemingly there to witness and record the altercation, scattered in fear.
As the chilling scene unfolded, the girl filming the incident gasped, “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God,” as she fled, with terrified screams resonating in the background.
“What the f–k?” She repeated several times, briefly turning the camera to show her face as she panted.
Former Mayor Eric Adams previously shared another video capturing the violent incident from a different angle.
In that footage, Jaden was seen being pummeled before he was shot.
The boy was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The backpack-wearing suspect is still on the loose, and cops are offering a $3,500 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
