Heartbreaking video showed how a young insurance agent’s life was turned upside-down nearly a year ago after she was run over by a selfish driver who left her for dead on the side of a Florida road.
Onyxia Delinois, 27, was horrifically mowed down by a driver on April 6, 2024 at 6:55am while out jogging on Miramar Parkway.
Delinois, who was 26 at the time, was left fighting for her life after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.
To this day, the driver responsible has yet to be caught, while Onyxia continues to suffer from multiple brain injuries, has lost her ability to walk and talk, and can only eat through a feeding tube.
She was seen in a new video confined to a wheelchair with a tube in her neck and scars all over her face.
Her loving husband, Roosevelt Delinois, has remained by her side through sickness and in health following the tragic incident.
‘This has been the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do,’ Roosevelt, who married Onyxia in 2023 after being together eight years, told NBC6.
‘I’m pretty devastated that this happened to her,’ he added.

After seven grueling months in the hospital, Onyxia was released back to her home, where Roosevelt takes care of her 24-7. He said she is expected to never make a full recovery.
‘The doctor’s are saying that the brain injuries are too severe to make a full recovery,’ he said. ‘So, I don’t know what recovery looks like for her, I don’t know if she will be able to recover.’
On top of taking care of her day in and day out, Roosevelt has advocated for her to try and help catch who did this to his wife.
He often posts reward flyers on his Facebook page, asking the public to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers with any tips about who the driver was.
‘Let’s catch the person who did this to her it’s been a year now please share reward is now $15,000,’ Roosevelt wrote on Monday.
He told NBC6 that he hopes someone will come forward so the driver can be held accountable.
The road where she was hit did not have surveillance cameras, according to the Miami Herald.
At the time of the tragic incident, Onyxia was running ahead of a group she was out jogging with when the driver struck her.

Two of her running buddies soon found her crying in agony on the grass and quickly called the police.
‘She was running alone when this happened,’ Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Ordaz previously told the Miami Herald.
Roosevelt recalled waking up in a panic after his wife was hit by the vehicle.
‘Once I got the call, I touched over to the bed and she wasn’t there,’ he told the outlet.
Onyxia, who was a ‘top agent’ at her firm, according to her Facebook, was then resuscitated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.
Once at the hospital, she was in a coma and connected to breathing and feeding tubes.
Just before she was struck Onyxia had run the Miami marathon, her husband previously said.

He described his wife as a selfless person who was always looking out for her loved ones.
‘She does so much for me and my family… she tries to help everyone else. I just want someone to say something, someone to come forward and say who did this to her.
A GoFundMe page was created shortly after she was hit to help her family deal with the financial costs associated with her recovery.
As of Thursday afternoon, the page, which is still accepting donations, has raised more than $36,000.
A spokesperson with the Miramar Police Department told DailyMail.com they ‘remain committed’ to investigating the tragic case.
‘The case involving Onyxia Delinois still remains unsolved with no new leads and no one coming forward with information that could lead to charges or an arrest of the hit and run driver,’ they said.
‘The anniversary of the accident is coming up and the Miramar PD remains committed to its continued investigation in the matter.’
