FLORIDA, USA — Snowfall graced parts of the Florida Panhandle early Sunday morning, marking a rare occurrence for the Sunshine State. Interestingly, this unusual weather event has repeated itself for the second consecutive year.

According to the National Weather Service, snow accumulations were expected to rise overnight. Colder temperatures, coupled with increased snowfall rates, were predicted to result in accumulations ranging from 1 to 2 inches, with some localized spots potentially experiencing as much as three inches.

This weather phenomenon mirrors an event from January 2025, when regions like Milton, near Pensacola, recorded the highest snowfall, with one area receiving a remarkable 9.8 inches.
