US Navy ships cross Strait of Hormuz for first time since start of Iran war: report

In a significant development, U.S. Navy ships have navigated through the Strait of Hormuz for the first time since the onset of hostilities with Iran. This information comes from a report referencing intelligence sources.

Israeli journalist Barak Ravid highlighted that “several” military vessels traversed the strategic waterway on Saturday, a move undertaken independently of any coordination with Iran.

President Trump appeared to confirm this strategic maneuver in a post on Truth Social, declaring that Iran was “LOSING, and LOSING BIG!” His statement suggested the U.S. was taking proactive steps to secure the strait, which is a crucial maritime passage.

“We’re now starting the process of clearing out the Strait of Hormuz as a favor to countries all over the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and many others,” Trump stated. He criticized other nations for lacking the “Courage or Will” to handle this challenge independently.

Interestingly, Trump noted that oil tankers from various countries are en route to the United States to replenish their supplies, underscoring the global reliance on U.S. resources amid these tensions.

This strategic move by the U.S. Navy coincides with ongoing negotiations with Iran taking place in Pakistan, signaling a complex geopolitical landscape.
