A former television star, now serving as a diplomat, captivated onlookers at a bustling nightclub Sunday night, turning heads in a shimmering silver gown. She accessorized her ensemble with a $7,000 Valentino handbag, coordinating stilettos, and a striking diamond cross necklace.
Emerging alongside her son Ronan shortly after 10 p.m., Guilfoyle greeted the press with a friendly wave and smile. Draped in a luxurious fur jacket, she paused for photographs before making her way inside.
Seated prominently at a front-row table, the ambassador was warmly acknowledged by pop icon Konstantinos Argyros, who entertained the crowd with his chart-topping tracks.
Sharing the table with her was billionaire Eric Vassilatos, who had flown her to Greece earlier that week on his private jet. They were joined by a few others from her close-knit circle.
During the evening, a fellow partygoer invited Guilfoyle to the dance floor. She obliged for a brief moment, then later eagerly participated in traditional Greek dances like the Syrtaki and Kalamatiano, linking arms with other guests.
This glamorous night followed a larger gathering at the Grand Hyatt, which attracted over 300 attendees.
By contrast, Sunday’s celebration at the Athens Center was an intimate affair of around 150, attended by several leading figures from Greece’s business and political circles, including Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni.
Taking to the stage, Guilfoyle kept her message simple: ‘I will not disappoint you.’

But behind the glamour, her whirlwind start has already stirred murmurs in diplomatic circles. Before officially presenting her credentials to Greece’s president — a required step before assuming her ambassadorial duties — Guilfoyle had already plunged into a full social calendar of receptions and late-night gatherings, many coordinated through the US Embassy’s own channels.

The ambassador’s busy weekend included an appearance at a 250th anniversary celebration of the US Marine Corps on Saturday night at a central Athens hotel.
Guilfoyle is set to be formally received by President Konstantinos Tasoulas at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, officially marking the start of her tenure.
Later in the week, she’ll attend the 6th Transatlantic Energy Cooperation Conference (P-TEC), alongside US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, Interior Secretary Doug Bergham, and more than 20 European energy ministers — marking her first official appearance at an international forum since taking office.
