Jessica Tarlov, the liberal host of Fox News’ “The Five,” acknowledged that immigration is a definite advantage for Republicans and a setback for Democrats. She highlighted how the GOP successfully influenced the 2024 election after governors from red states started sending buses full of illegal immigrants to northern blue states.
In a recently rediscovered segment from her discussion on the podcast “Next Question with Katie Couric,” Tarlov and Couric analyzed the aftermath of the 2024 election following President Donald Trump’s win.
Tarlov emphasized that Democrats were caught off guard by the actions taken by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in 2023. They had transported groups of illegal immigrants to cities like New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., turning immigration into a nationwide issue rather than one confined to border or red states.
