Authorities at both the state and local levels are conducting an intensive search for a suspect who is considered armed and dangerous. This individual allegedly fired shots at family members and police officers in New Hampshire on Saturday, injuring at least one officer and sparking a large-scale manhunt.
The suspect is reportedly a middle-aged Caucasian male who opened fire on his relatives shortly after 1:30 p.m. According to law enforcement, officers were able to locate him soon after the initial incident.
During the confrontation with police, the suspect is accused of shooting at the officers, injuring one of them, as reported by the New Hampshire State Police.
The injured officer was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, though their identity has not yet been released to the public.
Following the attack, the suspect allegedly fled the scene, prompting additional law enforcement to establish a perimeter in hopes of preventing his escape.
State police describe the suspect as standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing slightly over 200 pounds. He has black hair and hazel eyes and is likely moving on foot.

The Raymond Police Department said an automated message was sent by NH 911 for residents to shelter in place.
Officials warned residents in the area of Ham and Nottingham roads to take cover and “anticipate a presence of uniformed law enforcement personnel.”
Multiple roads remain closed, including Route 156, according to the department.
State police told Fox News Digital it is assisting with the search, along with additional law enforcement agencies.

The Raymond Police Department and Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to additional inquiries from Fox News Digital.
Raymond is a small town in southern New Hampshire, about 20 minutes east of Manchester and roughly an hour north of Boston, Massachusetts.
