Two people were taken into custody in New York City last week after being caught on video using racial slurs and violently assaulting a female motorist over a parking space.

According to police and reported by Fox News Digital on Saturday, Andreea Dumitru, 45, and Sabrina Starman, 21, were arrested and charged with assault. Their victim, a 21-year-old driver, was attacked outside a residence in Ridgewood, Queens.

Reddit users claimed that the attackers were a mother and daughter, who became aggressive when the victim attempted to move a trash can set in the street to reserve a parking spot.

The suspects allegedly punched the woman multiple times in the face and body, causing substantial pain, authorities said.
