Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni went viral at the G7 summit after delivering a dramatic eye roll that quickly captured the attention of social media users.

During a roundtable discussion with fellow global leaders in Alberta, Canada, on Monday, Meloni was seen visibly reacting as French President Emmanuel Macron leaned in to say something to her.

A clip of the moment showed Meloni leaning in as Macron shielded his mouth and muttered away.

Moments later, she was caught-on-camera dramatically rolling her eyes back before jerking away.

It wasn’t immediately clear what prompted the reaction — but social media users were quick to speculate.

“The G7 is off to such a good start. Meloni is awesome, she can’t hide her distain for the globalist elite,” one person wrote on X.

What do you think Macron whispered to Meloni at the G7?  Macron is a bit of a gossiper,” another questioned.

“C’mon spill the tea. What did you tell Meloni to evoke that priceless eye roll?” one asked.

Another X user referrenced the recent viral encounter Macron had with his wife Brigitte Macron when she was caught shoving him on a plane.

“What did Macron tell Giorgia Meloni? I will divorce my wife, will you marry me? ” one user speculated.

The exchange unfolded as the pair were joined at the summit by leaders of other G7 countries where trade was the “primary focus.”
