Jack Black surprised The Tonight Show audience on Monday evening, March 31, by showcasing his vibrant underwear while greeting host Jimmy Fallon.
Black made his entrance fully dressed in a lively button-down shirt and black trousers, energetically playing a Minecraft-themed guitar as he navigated through the audience towards the Tonight Show stage to talk about his new project, A Minecraft Movie. However, in the excitement of his performance, his pants began to slip down as he enthusiastically moved towards Fallon.
As Black bounded up the steps to greet the host, he faced a wardrobe mishap right on stage, with his pants falling to his knees and revealing his bright boxers to everyone watching.
Of course, this being Jack Black, he rolled right along with it, shaking his hips to live music from the Tonight Show band and leaning in to give Fallon a big hug, still pants-less.
“You know how to bring it,” Fallon could be heard telling his guest, who finally fixed his look after pulling away from their hug. With his pants back where they belonged, Black busted one more triumphant dance move for the Tonight Show audience, who was eating it up.
“That is Jack Black! That’s how you make an entrance,” Fallon declared, praising his guest for bringing “the heat” and “the energy.”
Unfortunately, there was one key thing Black did not bring with him to The Tonight Show. He retorted, “I didn’t bring a belt!”
Fallon laughed and told his guest, “I’m sorry about that,” the promised to fix the mishap in post-production. Unfortunately for Black, it’s right up there on YouTube for all of us to see.
The good news is, we really can’t think of anyone else who could make losing your pants on live TV look any cooler.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on NBC. Scroll up to watch Black’s unforgettable entrance in the video above.
