JSO: College Park shooting stems from argument during video games


In Jacksonville, Florida, a man is on the mend after sustaining a foot injury during a domestic incident that prompted a response from the local authorities. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred early Sunday morning, around 12:30 a.m., on Thorn Glen Road.

The situation unfolded during a heated domestic dispute, during which the suspect brandished a firearm and discharged several rounds, resulting in the man being shot in the foot. Fortunately, the injury is not considered life-threatening, and the man was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, the alleged gunman was taken into custody by law enforcement officials. The investigation is ongoing, with officers diligently gathering video evidence and conducting interviews with witnesses to piece together the events that led to the shooting.

Investigators explain that the man and the suspect were in the middle of a domestic dispute when the suspect pulled out a gun, fired multiple rounds and shot the man in the foot.

The injured man was taken to a hospital and his injury is said to be non-life-threatening.

Officers say they detained the gunman and are still collecting video evidence and interviewing witnesses for the investigation.
