Jacksonville police arrests father and son in Longbranch drug bust

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has taken a father and son into custody following a tip received in June about a residence on East 25th Street allegedly being used for drug sales.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested a father and son in a Longbranch drug bust, the agency announced Monday.

In June, the Narcotics Unit of the JSO was informed about potential drug activity occurring at a home on East 25th Street. After obtaining a warrant in July, detectives collaborated with the District 5 Task Force and the SWAT Team to investigate and subsequently discovered evidence related to the case.

  • 13.1 grams of fentanyl (more than 6,500 potentially fatal doses, according to police)
  • 66.2 grams of powder cocaine
  • 28.3 grams of MDMA
  • 6.9 grams of crack cocaine
  • 868.7 grams of marijuana

JSO arrested two men in the process. Alfred Bell, 62, and his son Alfred Bell, 41, are facing multiple felony charges.

“We’re shutting down the family business,” police said regarding the arrests.

First Coast News has requested the suspects’ police reports for more information.
