Stabbing in Jacksonville leaves woman dead, police say

Jacksonville Police Report: Fatal Stabbing Claims Woman's Life

Details at this time are limited. However, officials say four people have been detained for questioning.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman is dead after a stabbing in Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon, police say.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) were dispatched to Peach Drive to assist Jacksonville Fire Rescue. Upon arrival, JSO reported that the officers discovered a woman in her mid-50s with stab wounds outside a residence.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.

Details at this time are limited. However, officials say four people have been detained for questioning. 

The sheriff’s office is working with the medical examiner and state attorney’s office as an investigation continues.
