Authorities in Jacksonville report a shooting incident where a man in his 30s sustained a head injury on C Street Lane, situated near Magnolia Gardens.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An investigation is underway by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office following a shooting that injured a man on Tuesday morning.
Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene, located on C Street Lane near W. 45th Street, shortly before noon, around 11:45 a.m. Paramedics discovered the victim, a man in his 30s, who had been shot in the head. Thankfully, his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
According to JSO, there was a prior acquaintance between the victim and the suspect. An argument erupted outside a residence, during which the suspect fired a single shot at the victim before escaping.
As the investigation is still in its initial phase, the sheriff’s office has yet to disclose a motive behind the shooting or details of the suspect at large. Witnesses present during the incident were being questioned on Tuesday.
The authorities are treating this as a singular occurrence.
