JSO: 4 injured in Jacksonville westside shooting, authorities looking for suspect

In Jacksonville’s westside, a late-night shooting has left four men hospitalized, each with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident unfolded shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday near the Paxon Shopping Center, located along Edgewood Avenue.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office discovered four men, ranging in age from 44 to 57, suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical teams promptly transported three of the victims to nearby hospitals, while the fourth individual managed to drive himself to a medical facility for treatment.

The sheriff’s office has confirmed that all four men are currently in stable condition as they recover from their injuries. Meanwhile, detectives are actively pursuing leads to identify a suspect. The person of interest was reportedly clad in dark clothing and fled the scene on foot, heading in an unknown direction.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in apprehending the suspect responsible for this troubling act of violence.

JSO said the men have non-life-threatening injuries and are stable.

Detectives explain they are looking for a suspect who was seen in all dark clothing who left the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
