Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announces 2 arrests in 'Operation Guardian Sweep'

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama has reported the arrest of two individuals following their involvement in “Operation Guardian Sweep.”

On September 25th, law enforcement responded to a suspected drug activity complaint. They spotted a Mercedes at the crossroads of Highway 269 and McDonalds Chapel Road that neglected to use a turn signal. This prompted a traffic stop, leading to arrests. The incident escalated to drug discoveries which enabled detectives to secure a search warrant for a residence on the 3300 block of Bond Avenue.

Robert Clark Jr., 26, faces charges of two counts of drug trafficking and a lane change violation, with a bond set at over $3 million. Anthony Walker, 22, is charged with two counts of drug trafficking and second-degree rape, and he is being held without bail.

Both suspects are being held in the Jefferson County Jail. Anyone with information can contact JCSO at 205-325-1450.
