Jelly Belly is set to undergo significant layoffs in California following the closure of a major corporate and commercial operation in the state.
Ferrara Candy Company, the Chicago-based parent company, announced on Wednesday that 69 positions at the headquarters in Fairfield, near San Francisco, will be eliminated in June.

The cuts will primarily affect administrative roles, including web developers, accountants, customer service personnel, and e-commerce teams, as detailed in a letter to local city officials.
Despite these changes, Jelly Belly will continue its operations, and jobs related to manufacturing, warehousing, and the visitor center in Fairfield will remain unaffected.
The site will retain 305 employees, and those impacted by the layoffs will have the opportunity to transfer to other facilities operated by Ferrara.
