LOS ANGELES — Glen Powell, Ethan Hawke, Peyton Manning, and Sarah McLachlan have been slated to appear as guests when Jimmy Kimmel resumes his late-night show on Tuesday.
In an Instagram post to the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” account, the host and Guillermo are seen hugging with the caption, “We are back full of love.”
Jimmy Kimmel’s return was announced by The Walt Disney Co., the parent company of ABC, in a statement on Monday.
“Last Wednesday, we chose to halt production of the show to prevent further aggravating an already tense situation during a sensitive time for the nation. We believed some remarks made were untimely and potentially offensive,” the company stated. “We have engaged in thoughtful discussions with Jimmy over the past few days, leading to our decision to resume the show on Tuesday.”
The network previously announced on Sept. 17 that Kimmel’s show would be preempted “indefinitely.”

The action came after Kimmel made comments on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” about conservative influencer Charlie Kirk’s death.
Prior to the announcement of the network’s decision, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr had suggested Kimmel be suspended due to the remarks.
Guests have been announced as Jimmy Kimmel returns to his late-night show on Tuesday.
Unions that represent entertainment professionals and TV writers condemned the move.
Kimmel has not spoken publicly about his show’s preemption or its return to air.
The Walt Disney Co. is the parent company of ABC News and this station.
