JOE Exotic has revealed his husband Jorge Marquez Flores has been taken to an ICE detention Center.
‘Tiger King’ celebrity, Joe Exotic, 62, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado, has pleaded with US President Donald Trump for clemency, claiming that he’s already endured significant hardship.
On Saturday, the star shared an image on Instagram featuring himself and his husband, with a note stating: “They have now transferred him to an ICE detention center for his hearing to decide if he will remain in America or return to Mexico.
“@potus @stephenm don’t you think between losing my life’s work.
“My parents are gone, and with this added burden, I’ve faced enough. It’s time to watch season 2 of Tiger King and see how they confessed to committing perjury on global TV—can you let me go?”
Joe Exotic met Jorge Marquez Flores while serving time in federal prison.
Flores, 33, was imprisoned in 2024 for unlawfully reentering the US from Mexico after previously being deported, according to federal court documents seen by The US Sun.
He was allegedly driving a car carrying six other undocumented immigrants across the border.
Exotic was convicted in 2019 for a murder-for-hire plot against his longtime rival Carole Baskin.
He is currently serving the fifth year of a 21-year prison sentence.
The wedding took place at the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, where both men are serving time.
Exotic first announced their engagement back in October, and said the couple had tattooed their wedding rings on their fingers in a romantic show of commitment, he told Radar at the time.
He gushed over the 33-year-old Mexican man and said he hoped their union would help Flores get US citizenship.
