JoJo Siwa finally sets the record straight on her relationship with 'Celebrity Big Brother UK' co-star Chris Hughes

JoJo Siwa finally clarified her relationship with “Celebrity Big Brother UK” co-star Chris Hughes.

“What makes Chris and me so unique is our truly authentic connection, so neither of us are concerned about others’ opinions,” the former “Dance Moms” star shared with Us Weekly in a recent interview.

“We understand our real friendship and the bond we have. It’s a wonderful and special relationship. I often send him videos of us dancing together.”

Hughes, 32, famously stood up for Siwa, 21, after housemate Mickey Rourke was openly homophobic in the show.

A close friendship developed between the two — with the singer realizing that she’s not a lesbian anymore and redefining herself as queer.

“I used to identify as a lesbian, but being in this environment has made me realize, ‘Oh no, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer,'” she mentioned to her co-star Danny Beard.

Dating speculation blossomed between them after Siwa broke up with partner Kath Ebbs, and she was spotted at a UK golf and tennis club with Hughes.

But, Siwa explained, while the relationship is “special,” it’s a friendship — not a romance.

“Obviously he stood up for me in the beginning right away, which was beautiful,” she told the outlet.

“And then, he threw a ball of socks at me to catch it, and it knocked me straight in the face,” she continued. “And it was probably that day that I just felt, and he felt as well, that this person is meant to be in my life.”

Siwa added, “I’ve had it with a few other people in my life, friends who come into your life and the dynamic is so special.”

When asked if she was “disappointed” by the speculation about a potential romantic relationship with Hughes, Siwa said it’s a non-issue for the pals.

“People just run with whatever they want, with whatever they want to believe,” she said, adding that the duo has a “beautiful time together and it’s not changing.”

“We are friends and we are going to continue to be in each other’s lives,” she continued in part.

“The world having whatever say they have isn’t going to make us never see each other. I think the world expected us to be like ‘ooh, rumors, we can never see each other.’ Believe it or not, it’s not what we talk about.”
