On Sunday, Jordyn Woods shared her thoughts on how warmly New York City welcomed both her and Karl-Anthony Towns, a key player for the Knicks, following their tough playoff defeat to the Pacers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Just hours after the Knicks’ season concluded on Saturday, the 27-year-old model expressed her admiration for the team in a heartfelt Instagram post, noting that they had revitalized the city. This came as Towns’ inaugural year with the New York team ended in disappointment.
“One key takeaway from this season is that the team’s future looks promising, and they should take pride in their accomplishments,” Woods wrote, sharing images of Towns from throughout the season. “The team has injected so much energy into the city, and I’ve witnessed some of the most thrilling basketball games thanks to them.”
“Thank you New York for welcoming us with open arms! The Libra in me loves a theme and I had too much fun putting these looks together, more to come🧡💙.”
Towns, 29, finished Saturday’s game with 22 points and 14 assists.
However, it wasn’t enough to help the Knicks force a Game 7 as Indiana defeated New York, 125-108, punching its ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000.
Woods’ carousel included photos of her modeling custom outfits in support of Towns and the team.
One image showed someone stitching a top on a sewing machine, while another photo featured her white jacket displayed on a mannequin.
Woods also included an image of her smiling with Knicks superfan and actor Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, while sitting on celebrity row at Madison Square Garden during the playoffs.
