On a recent episode of The View, Joy Behar expressed her disinterest in discussing the newly revealed text messages between celebrities Blake Lively and Taylor Swift. Behar told her co-hosts she found the topic far from “relatable.”

The text messages surfaced as part of Lively’s legal proceedings involving Justin Baldoni. According to reports from E! News, the texts show Lively reaching out to Swift amid a public dispute involving her It Ends With Us co-star. In a message dated December 4, 2024, Lively asked Swift if everything was okay between them, writing, “I have no reason to ask, but I don’t know, I’ve been feeling like I should… is everything ok?”

While Alyssa Farah Griffin commented that the exchange could serve as a “lesson” for fans, Behar was visibly unimpressed.

Behar sarcastically remarked, “I hate to see two beautiful multimillionaires fight,” eliciting laughter from the audience.

She then posed a question to her co-hosts, asking, “I don’t find this topic relatable at all, do you?”

Sunny Hostin countered by suggesting Swift might be “one of the most relatable people in the world,” particularly given her candid response to Lively’s heartfelt message. Hostin noted, “[Swift is] like, ‘You know what, you’ve been too much and it’s caused a difference, and I just want my friend back.’”

“And we’re never, ever, ever getting back together!” Behar quipped.

Earlier in their discussion, Griffin pointed out that Lively likely felt like her feud with Baldoni was “the center of the universe” at the time.

“And I don’t fault her for it this clearly was weighing deeply on her and you can convey this to your friends and you can alienate them,” Griffin mused, later adding, “I think it’s a lesson of just remember, just because something is the center of your universe, it’s not the center of everyone else’s universe.”

Griffin’s comments prompted Behar to ask if she was planning on doing the same to them when she eventually goes on maternity leave.

“So like when you have the baby you’re not going to respond to anybody?” Behar asked, prompting Griffin to laugh and confirm she certainly won’t.
