JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man in his mid-30s was declared dead on Thursday night after he was discovered with several gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had crashed on Jacksonville’s Westside, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
According to JSO Sgt. La’Tosha Thompson, patrol officers arrived at the scene at around 9:16 p.m. in the 8600 block of Herlong Road, responding to a call about a “crash with injuries.”
When officers arrived on scene, Thompson said they found the man with several gunshot wounds.
Members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department then responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
Thompson said JSO’s homicide and crime scene units are investigating the incident.
No suspect information was provided by the sheriff’s office.
