Justin Timberlake’s Friday night concert in Montreal was a “very special evening.”
The singer known for the song “Mirrors” announced that he and his wife, Jessica Biel, were commemorating their 12th year together. He acknowledged her presence during a performance on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
During the show, Timberlake pointed out Biel in the audience and revealed, “My wife is here tonight. And tonight is our 12-year anniversary,” as captured in a video he posted on Instagram.
Lightening the mood, he humorously requested the audience, “So be nice to her, Montreal, because she’s sharing me with all of you guys tonight.” Timberlake then affectionately gestured towards Biel by placing his hand over his heart.
“I love you, baby,” he told her.
The “7th Heaven” actress reposted the video to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, captioning the clip, “Wouldn’t want to spend it anywhere else ❤️.”
Biel and Timberlake were first romantically linked together in January 2007 after they were spotted on a snowboarding trip with friends in Park City, Utah.
Timberlake opened up about the couple’s origin story in 2012, telling reporters during a press conference that their initial meeting was “very un-Hollywood-esque.”
“We met and got talking,” he said, per Us Weekly. “Afterwards, I asked my friend if I could call her and ask her out. My friend called Jessica and Jessica said ‘yes,’ and so I called her.”
The pair went public with their relationship in 2008 and officially tied the knot in a private southern Italian wedding in front of several famous friends including Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Timbaland and Beverley Mitchell in October 2012.
“It was a really special evening,” Timberlake told People of the ceremony, with Biel adding, “It was a total fantasy experience.”
They share two children together: sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4.
