The father from Washington state, who is sought for allegedly killing his three daughters, might no longer be surviving in the secluded wilderness, as per local officials.

Travis Decker, aged 32, faces accusations of murdering his daughters – Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5 – whose bodies were discovered close to Decker’s deserted vehicle in an isolated campground.

In a statement issued on Monday night, the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office noted that “there is no certain evidence that Decker remains alive or in this area,” yet emphasized that authorities are persistently searching the regions of Teenaway Valley, Liberty, Lauderdale, and Blewett Pass for the father.

Officials previously quashed a TikTok video reportedly circulating showing Morrison announcing Decker’s arrest following a long standoff.

“To be clear, Mr. Decker is not in custody and CCSO had no part in making the video,” the department wrote in a Facebook post.

The U.S. Marshals Special Operations Group (SOG), in coordination with the Border Patrol Tactical Unit and King County Sheriff’s Office, is intensifying efforts to locate fugitive Decker. Newly released photos on X this week capture the scale and precision of the search operation in the remote Colchuck Lake area.

One striking image shows a U.S. Marshal in full camouflage lying on a rocky ledge, surveying the snow-dusted mountains through a spotting scope. A vibrant blue lake glimmers in the distance. Another photo features a marshal with a long-range precision rifle mounted on a bipod, stationed on jagged ground with dramatic peaks in the backdrop.

Two additional images emphasize aerial support: one depicts marshals on a snowy plain pointing toward a King County Sheriff’s helicopter overhead, while another aerial shot shows a chopper flying low above a turquoise lake, with searchers visible below.

Authorities warn that Decker should be considered armed and dangerous but insist they have no reason to believe he is a threat to public safety. He is charged with three counts of aggravated first-degree murder and kidnapping.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $20,000 reward for any information leading to Decker’s arrest.

“We recognize we do have a job to do,” Morrison said. “If we fail, the voices of Paityn and Evelyn and Olivia will not be heard, and that’s not going to be acceptable.”
