HUNTLEY, Ill. (WLS) — A recent court hearing unveiled new information regarding charges against a couple from the northwest suburbs, linked to a troubling video involving a dog, as reported by officials.

In July, Huntley police received a report concerning a video depicting a man engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a dog. Subsequent investigations led to the identification of the individuals involved: 23-year-old Efin Nolte and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Katelyn Heiden.

According to the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, Heiden is accused of recording Nolte as he participated in sexual acts with a dog at their residence on Yardley Drive.

Nolte faces charges of Sexual Conduct with an Animal, while Heiden has been charged with Aiding Sexual Conduct with an Animal, according to the state’s attorney’s office.

Initially, Huntley police reported that both were charged with one count of Sexual Conduct with an Animal.

The state’s attorney’s office clarified that Sexual Conduct with an Animal does not qualify as a detainable offense, which means the couple will be released from custody while awaiting trial.

The couple’s next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 12.

Huntley police asked anyone with information to call them at 847-515-5311 or submit an anonymous tip by calling 847-515-5333.
