Age is merely a number! Kelly Ripa began Live with Kelly and Mark on Tuesday by noting to Mark Consuelos that they are just “days away” from his birthday.
“Until you are finally my age,” she added.
Consuelos asked how old he’ll be turning this year, prompting Ripa to reply, “54.”
“I’m 53? Yes, I am,” Consuelos teased.
While acknowledging his approaching age, Consuelos mentioned that he still “feel[s] like [he’s] 25,” attributing it to “the guy brain.” However, Ripa could relate to his sentiment.
“No, it’s not just the guy brain. I think we all feel a certain age,” she elaborated. “We’ve discussed this a million times. Like, if you ask most people what age they feel, they feel 25-30 years younger than they are.”
Consuelos proposed that there’s also “a point where they feel older” than the age they are, though Ripa didn’t necessarily agree.
“I always feel at least 30 years younger. And then I walk by a mirror and I’m like, ‘Oh!’” she quipped. “The hell is that?”
While Consuelos’ birthday is on March 30, he aired his grievances over making birthday posts for people on Instagram on Monday’s episode of Live, noting that “the pictures have to be right, or youâve failed.â
“It’s dumb,” he added.
However, Ripa clapped back at Consuelos, who she said has a habit of asking for pictures of her on “the eve of her birthday” to post the following day. Nonetheless, Consuelos still claimed that he “always” posts for Ripa’s birthday. We’ll see if she returns the favor next week!
